8th: National Justin Day - Read a book by an author whose first name begins with a letter in JUSTIN.
13th: National M&M Day - Read a book whose cover is one of the M&M colors: red, blue, yellow, green, orange, or brown (show cover).
17th: Wear Something Gaudy Day - Read a book where someone wears something bizarre.
 
November
National Family Literacy Month - Read a book where someone reads to another.
9th: Chaos Never Dies Day - Read a book where somebody has a crazy day.
11th: Singles Day - Read a book where single people go out for dinner.
21st: Alascattalo Day - Read a book set in Alaska or tagged Humor.
24th: D. B. Cooper Day - Read a Mystery.
 
December
3rd: Let’s Hug Day - Read a book where someone gets a hug.
5th: Bathtub Party Day - Read a book where a character relaxes in the tub alone or not!
8th: Take it in the Ear Day - Read a book where someone is told to go away or where a little joke between friends blown wildly out of proportion
14th: Free Shipping Day - Read a book where somebody receives a box.
16th: National Chocolate Covered Anything Day - Read a book where someone eats something covered in chocolate.
 
January
Someday We’ll Laugh About This Week – Read a book where a character knows they will get over something embarrassing.
5th: Twelfth Night - Read a book where Christmas decorations are taken down.
12th: Feast of Fabulous Wild Men Day – Read a book with a wild guy.
18th: National Michigan Day – Read a book set in Michigan.
19th: Brew a Potion Day – Read a book where a character brews a potion (have fun with this one).
 
February
3rd: Four Chaplains Day – Read a book where a character is a minister, rabbi, priest or other religious leader.
6th: Pay a Compliment Day – Read a book with a character compliments another.
10th: Oatmeal Monday – Read a book where oatmeal is eaten.
15th: Annoy Squidward Day – Read a book where one annoys another.
18th: Pluto Day – Read a Series #9.
 
March
5th: Read An E-Book Week – Read an e-book.
Return Borrowed Books Week – Read a book you have to return.
7th: Alexander Graham Bell Day – Read a book where someone uses a phone.
9th: National Barbie Day – Read a book where someone plays with a doll.
18th: Awkward Moments Day – Read a book with an awkward moment.
 
April
1st: Nickelodeon Anniversary Celebration Day - Read a book with an anniversary in the story OR with an orange title (show cover).
4th: Vitamin C Day - Read a book where a character eats or drinks any citrus fruit.
12th: National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day - Read a book where someone eats a grilled cheese.
19th: Amaretto Day - Read a book that is a little sweet and a little bitter (your interpretation).
30th: World Stationery Day – Read a book where one of these items are used: pens, pencils, paper, staplers, erasers, highlighters, markers, postcards, crayons, or adhesive tape.
 
May
Date Your Mate Month - Read a book where a couple goes on a date.
6th: National Nurses Day - Read a book with a nurse character.
10th: National Small Business Day - Read a book with a small business in the story.
16th: National Love A Tree Day - Read a book with a tree on the cover (show cover).
28th: National Hamburger Day - Read a book where a character enjoys a hamburger.
 
June
1st: International Tabletop Day - Read a book where characters play a game like backgammon or Battleship.
3rd: World Bicycle Day - Read a book with a bicycle on the cover (show cover).
9th-15th: Meet a Mate Week - Read a book where someone meets the one.
19th: National Martini Day - Read a book where a character drinks a martini.
22nd: National Limoncello Day - Read a book where limoncello is enjoyed or with a lemon on the cover (show cover).
 
July
4th: Alice in Wonderland Day – Read a book whose author's initials are in LEWIS CARROLL.
8th: SCUD Day - Read a book where a character takes time to chill out after working hard.
12th: National Motorcycle Day - Read a book where someone rides a motorcycle.
21st: Lake Superior Day - Read a book set by a lake.
25th: International Red Shoe Day - Read a book where someone wears red shoes.
 
August
1st: Lughnasadh - Read a book where a town has a festival with dancing, music, storytelling, and arts and crafts.
Afternoon Tea Week – Read a book where someone drinks a cup of tea.
17th: Baby Boomers Recognition Day – Read a book where a character is at least 62 years old.
30th: National Beach Day – Read a book where someone goes to the beach.
31st: Eat Outside Day - Read a book with a picnic or barbecue in the story.
 
September
4th: ​National Wildlife Day - Read a book with wildlife in the story (share what kind of animal).
